Best pho I've ever had! The broth was sooo flavorful. Also the chili oil was more delicious than other pho places I've tried. It was extra spicy for some reason but I loved it. It seemed like they made it homemade. 10/10. Definitely gonna eat this pho again!

Pho Viet 2 is next to the Princesa Boutique and the Massage place, a few doors down from Saigon Corner on the Shell gas station corner of Truxel and El Camino. Their other location is in Citrus Heights (Pho Viet). The cold weather compelled me to seek out Pho Viet 2's Extra Large (XL)-sized bowl of pho, which I've never personally attempted before. This time, I felt so ready for the challenge--paper to-go menus provided to order from. I got the R1 Pho Dac Biet (Combination Pho with rare steak, well-done flank, fat brisket, tendon, tripe, and beef meatball) in that XL size with the default rice noodles and beef broth. FYI, a Small is around $13, Large $15, and X-Large $18. The lady taking my order didn't question me or warn me when I asked for the X-Large, but the other lady who brought it to the table assumed it was for the other diner in my party, LOL. The XL bowl is as tall as the pot of hot tea I also ordered! The usual fixings: fresh basil, beansprouts, jalapeno slices, raw onion, green onion, lime wedges, and if you want any sauces like fish sauce, hoisin, or sriracha. Plastic chopsticks and a soup spoon are provided, ask if you need a fork. I came in on a mostly empty stomach and that X-Large bowl was super satisfying and filling. Delicious! They also have appetizers like spring rolls, fried eggrolls, chicken wings, etc. If you're not into Vietnamese soup they also carry Chinese soup like wonton, hot and sour, egg flower, and chicken broth with either rice or egg noodles. There are three banh mi sandwiches to choose from, bun (rice vermicelli) grilled meat plates, com rice plates, self-wrap rolls, clay pot, fried rice, chow fun, chow mein, chicken, duck, seafood, veggie, kid's (nuggets, tenders, wings with fries and either chow mein or fried rice), and drinks like smoothies, coconut, pandan, coffee, tea, and soda. Such an extensive menu, everything I've tried here so far has been tasty! I don't come here often enough. They are open until 9pm!

In a nutshell; good place to stop by and get some pho and/or other Vietnamese cuisine. It's the kind of eatery you can reliably stop by at and for sure get a good hefty bowl of pho at any time. Place is simple but very viet/Asian. Servers are all great and accommodating. Seats and tables are simple but comfy enough as you dine through the hour or so. Overall neat place. Parking's usually easy and always available.

Their pho is a hit or miss. I prefer bun bo hue but last time I ordered it, I didn't like it. I was hangry so I came during lunch and ordered their pho, grilled pork spring rolls, banh mi (to go) and a sprite. Their pho tasted so good this day or perhaps, as previously stated, I was hangry. I ate all the noodles and some broth. It was overloaded with meat which I barely touched. I usually don't anyhow. Grilled pork spring rolls were ok. Didn't care for them. Banh mi- daughter said it was good and she liked how the bread wasn't too crusty to hurt the roof of her mouth.

My favorite hole-in-the-wall for pho! I came on Wednesday evening, and I was not disappointed. My partner and I were quickly seated and served. Staff remembered me as a regular from when I lived in Natomas, and I always feel welcomed here. My partner and I ordered a small, R2 and large, R5. The broth had amazing, depth of flavor. We both added sriracha to ours to kick up the spice. The portions were huge and reasonably priced. Staff brought the check to our table, even though traditionally, you're suppose to pay at the counter. This spot satisfied our pho cravings, and I wish I lived closer so that I could come more often!

Great Vietnamese/Chinese food spot! We were craving Vietnamese food and glad we ended up here. They have a pretty big menu with a lot of Vietnamese and Chinese options. They have a lot of seating and typically no wait. The workers seem very sweet and hardworking. The restaurant seems a bit old but it was clean. We got eggrolls, pho, rice plate and beef chow fun. The eggrolls were super delicious and would recommend to anyone. I also super enjoyed the pho and the rice plate. The pho broth is super tasty and the portions are pretty generous. The rice plate is good quality and tasty. The beef chow fun was super greasy so I wouldn't recommend that. The Vietnamese dishes seem like their strong suit.
